Winter is quickly approaching, and the colder months can certainly put a strain on our health. More indoor time, and less Vitamin D. Full schedules, less sleep. Plus we add the busyness of the holidays, and our immune systems can easily become worn down.

We don’t want you to simply survive the upcoming winter months, we want you to THRIVE through them! Join Dr Sarah Mokma, and Jill Meulenberg for a Winter Wellness Workshop, where we will explore three easy to use tools that you can keep in your own home, and can begin incorporating into your own wellness today. Cell Salts, Elderberry Syrup, and Essential Oils.

Much of our health and wellness success comes from being empowered to make choices for our health, and from having the proper tools. This workshop will leave you inspired to explore new ways to care for your health.

Everyone who attends will receive Sarah’s Cell Salt Quick Reference Guide, a tried recipe for Elderberry Syrup, a list of must-have essential oils for the winter season. In addition, everyone who attends will be making their own essential oil-based hand soap to bring home.

Sarah Mokma is a board-certified naturopathic doctor, certified Arvigo Therapy Practitioner, author, speaker, vice president of the Michigan Naturopathic Association, and CEO of Luminosity Center for Healing. Once she discovered the world of natural health and helped turn around her daughter’s health 18 years ago, she found herself wanting to empower all women to own this knowledge for healing.

Jill Meulenberg became an essential oils student and educator over five years ago out of a desire to find a new and better way to care for her own family’s health. We will guide you through gentle physical movement to discover a self-led and spontaneous expression.

By developing mindfulness, consciousness of breath, and motion-meditation, this lab is healing and grounding. Come experience the restorative side of physical expression, and the empowering feeling that freedom in motion can create.

Wear comfortable clothing, bring layers and socks. Please refrain from wearing perfume and jewelry.


Bio -Laura Armenta is a mixed movement artist, with a long career as an international choreographer, autodidact ethnochoreologist, a yoga teacher educated in various yoga forms, a holistic mobility coach, as well as a dance educator and Thai Yoga therapist.Ms. Armenta has been a professional dancer trained in multiple techniques, has carried a devoted yogini lifestyle since 1991, and has also been an avid martial artist for over three decades. Laura has shared her expertise on the local corporate world having worked at Amway Co. for 11 years as a wellness coach, yoga, dance and fitness instructor, as well as at Steelcase as a dance and yoga instructor.Besides being adjunct faculty at GVSU, she has also been a faculty member at Grand Rapids Ballet, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, Civic Theater, and dance guest teacher at Hope College, Calvin College, and Aquinas College,

She is the owner and director of Armentality Movement Arts Center established in 1998, where she teaches recreational dance classes and various movement programs. In addition she directs and continues to expand her Community and Outreach programs where she teaches Yoga for the blind and visually impared community, she has also done dance and yoga classes for Gilda’s Club, Juvenile centers and hospice organizations. Sound Healing for Stress Relief

How do you navigate stressful times? Join us for a brief discussion on stress and stress relief practices, followed by a powerfully relaxing sound healing and guided meditation.

You’ll leave with more clarity on shifting your stress with simple self care habits. The meditation will make space for the deep rest and rejuvenation that you crave.

Most people prefer to lay down during meditation. Feel free to bring pillows, blankets, yoga mats or even sleeping bags to help you be as comfortable as possible. We will have some yoga mats and blankets available if you need them.

Sarah Mokma and Erica Jones will lead the group discussion. Then, you’ll relax as Erica shares the powerful alchemy of crystal singing bowls and meditation.
